The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Novel idea of a man being born old and becomes young as time passes by. How an "old" man picks up on learning on various things, how many assumes him to be old and wise and perhaps have a whole bunch of life-experiences but he was just a teenager at heart. But a tad draggy for me. The plot picks up slight towards the end. The ending is interesting in its way, how his life-companion cares so much for him as he turns into a child with no memories of them together.

Tad draggy but leaves a poignant after-taste. Brad Pitt is an added eye-candy to watch but he really CANNOT act. ha.

The Reader
It's about an illicit affair that begun between a mature lady and a teenager. Just weird to see a boy with someone of age that can become his mother. The lady disappears after 1 summer together. She reappears 8 yrs after, being judged in a Nazi-camp trial. Boy turns into a lawyer and saw her in court. Many struggles observed on both parties. How the lady refuses to admit that she's illiterate and thus gets a life-sentence into prison. The man who knows, did not openly declare that fact. Saving her pride? or Leading her to getting a life-sentence. Which is better-worst? The man den spends the entire life, recording stories on tape for her. But refuses to reply to any of her one-liner letter. Does he want to get involved in her life or not? I do not know what to think about this story. Cause it's just like ...

Last movie is watched! Not a dull moment. ha~
Wolf-man of lower status than vamps and he falls for forbidden princess of vamps. Star-crossed lovers doomed for eternity. Princess punished to death by own dad, Lord of vamps. Wolf-man angry... tears down vamp estate. Main focus on the discrimination between the werewolfs and vampires.

simple review cause it's a straight-forward-watch-action kinda movie. ha..

Fun to watch.

This song is playing in my head since i caught it when my girlfriends! I think i'm a closet-ABBA fan. I know ALL THE songs in the "Mamma Mia" movie! The movie is such a hit amongst me and my friends! Really brings the nostalgic feeling! Man~ i remember hearing these tunes when i was growing up. My mom's fave songs; which she used to play on the stereo..

Sumi... i'm 100% sure you enjoyed it now!!! dun live in self-denial! *super trooper lights are gonna find me~* Tat's YOUR song! heehee~ We ladies had a ball of a time watchin this hilarious musical movie. And Sab! your "money.. money.. money~~"...

One thing's for sure; Mr handsome-and-oh-so-charming Pierce Brosnan CANNOT act in a musical. Singing: FAIL! Please go back to being your Bond, James Bond. The entire movie is basically singing the Abba hits. The way the scene is nicely set for each Abba song to fit in perfectly. Throughly enjoyed it! I was luffing my heart out thru' the show. Especially the calefares would pops up of NOWHERE and started joining in the song and acting all silly. Hunks who act all silly with their flippers; dancing on the jetty dock. So CUTE!

This movie is Highly recommended by ME!
Lame story plot. But enjoyable show as a whole.

After which... we headed to the Minds Cafe!! For old-school card and board games!~ I love playing such games.. cause it's just plain good-old-FUN! We requested for "stupid stupid" games.. haa.. dun wan any chim games~

To call up the person's *hidden* animal sound when we see matching cards. But after the SWAP card is shown.. we were "woofing.. chi-chi-ing.. quacking.. ku-ku-ku-ing~" away.. haa.. SUPER FUN!

Finally we ended up with FOOD.. as usual.. Headed to Mad Jack at Prinsep street. And suddenly i realised i have 2 "boyfriends" i never knew of.. and i have a whole wonderful group of matchmakers around. Thanks ah ppl. I shall await for the surprise this saturday. I wan my "blush.. blush.." song. Please be original ah!

I love my girlfriends.. I love their company.. Their ability to just make me luff till i have a sore throat. Luff till i pengz.. ha~


On the other note..
My exam last friday was hmm.. ok ok. i guess. I GAVE UP on Duncan's part cause obviously i don't think i even understand a single thing he explain. I tried.. i REALLY tried. I can almost DIE of frustration. His formulas dun make any sense to me. Enthalpy, entropy, gibbs, hess are NOT my best-friends. I dun have a single clue wad's a state function. Physics is not my kind of stuff. I pinned ALL my hopes on Dr Baker's portion; whose stuff seems slightly more do-able.

All i hope for this is to just SCRAPE through. I don't need a distinction for this one. Just a pass would do. *sigh... i dun wanna retake this, man.... i really really dun wan to... :( * All i can do now is pray and wait for the results in 2 mths time.

AWESOME SHOW! me and my bunch of friends enjoyed it tremendously!

Action-packed to the BRIM! i felt that there was never a dull moment. With handsome Christian Bale around... :) I like the way the plot sorts of goes back to the batman cartoons (that i've watched in my younger days). There's Mr 2face with his coin-flipping action. The CG for him is really well-done! The all-so-cool gadgets. The LAMBO which crashed! :'( WHY IN THE WORLD DID THEY DO THAT TO THE PRETTY CAR!!!!

They should have chosen a prettier lead actress though. Maggie's ok. But Katie Holmes for Batman Begins is so much more prettier! =p

Heath Ledger portrayed The Joker so well. Gives me the creep when he places his knife into a victim's mouth.. in a bid to slice it open. *goose-bumps* He could be given an award for playing The Joker. But sadly, he died due to "accidental overdose of prescription drugs", a tender age of 29. I remembered him in "10 Things I Hate About You" as a young blonde hunk with long curly hair and also in "A Knight's Tale" as a peasant turned knight. He always took shows that portrayed a bright, young character. Finally he will given a chance to be an amazing character. He might have gone a little too deep into his character, thus resulting in insomnia. Consumption of prescription drugs led to his death. There have been reports saying that Nicholas warns Ledger of playing the part of joker.

Caught this with my family.... Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

I vaguely remember the few past movies of Indiana Jones.. the all-so-familiar Indy Jones tune which goes with him, his fedora-lookalike hat, his whip... I recall this series to be an adventure show, but not THAT out-of-your-mind. seriously what's with the ending?

[Spoiler alert!!]




ALIENS??? Space-craft??? Entering the space between the space? So is this a steven-spielberg-cum-all-his-other-movies-inspired sort of show? (think: E.T. , War of the worlds) and what's with the swinging monkey-thingy that happened? Tarzan wannabe as well? hahaha~





Many illogical happenings in this show but all in all, except the weird direction this movie has taken to, it's a pretty entertaining show. A full 2-hours movie with no dull moments and we luffed a lot during this show. hee~ Glad that my parents found it entertaining as well. :)

It's worth a watch, if you can excuse the lame plot.

Life's just messy the past weeks.. It just went passed like a whirlwind sweeping across my face.. School school school EVERYDAY... Pretty much sick of studying. PERIOD.

I couldnt even be bother with the exam last tuesday and friday. Life's getting a tad tiring. Study i did. Exams i did. But it was a touch-and-go sort of thing. Just feel like all of this doesn't really matter at all.

I reallie need to refresh myself and get back to the entire studying and working thingy... Today's the start of my next module. When i just did my exams yesterday. Dang.... how "nice" the way they arrange our schedules. :( It's just crappy dat i dun even get a week of rest. Took a peep at my schedule for this module. Seems rather alright to me. i hope. Well, certainly hope everything works out alright.

But I'll be fine.. i trust.. :)

Going on to happy thots :)

Managed to catch a movie in the midst of the whirlwind.
Kinda 'deep' sort of show to watch as a midnight movie.. It's about the on-going war happening in the afghan.. Saddens ur heart to see what's actually happening in the world today. There is a true-life war still happening over at that side of the world. :( I love the way this movie is shot, the way the 3 stories inter-twined with each other. The friendship b/w the 2 frenz in the special forces. When one soldier fell out of the plane which was under seige, the other jumped out to be with him.

*I keep telling my friend, if that reallie happens to us, NO WAY am i going to jump and die with you... WAHAHAHAHA~ tough luck ya?*

I like the way they epic media as a tool for propaganda. I like the way this movie brings new perspective to my simple mind. I like the phrase used in the movie, "Lions are led by Lambs", talking abt brave soldiers being led by weak leaders.

Thumbs up for the movie. Only rant is that IT'S TOO SHORT!!! The ending was super abrupt. And that resulted in a lot of "huh"s at the end of it.

Last weekend was a Girls' Nite IN day~


We decided to go a MOVIE nite... with fun and food!!

We started our day with a trip of Snacks shopping and Movie selection...

Tibits... icecream.... popcorn....^^

First movie pick:
The pursuit of happyness...
This shouldn't be a spoiler as this is nt exactly a new new movie..

Nice movie... of a DUMB guy... who brought some USELESS items.. and that must be the stupidest decision of his life dat caused his happy marriage to go downhill... The marriage was broken... and all he's left is his little boy who is SUPER ADORABLE!! I love the cute little boy with his funky hairdo.. hehe.. typical afro-style..

Many heart-breaking scenes... especially when the poor duo had to stay in the subway's toilet... The dad hugging his darling ever so tightly.. with tears in his eyes.. The hardworking dad going all out to pursuit happyness for him and his child... Happy ending..... i love happy endings...

Nice movie....

After which.... we were STARVING.... so we decided to call for PIZZA!! haha.. Life's never about dieting with these gers... No grumble of being f*t or wad... just pure enjoying the moment with fun and food...

This is seriously a MUST-WATCH!!!!
I cried WATERFALL when i saw this the very first time....
I cried still... once again... when i watched again... haiz... *cry-baby*

It's about a mentally handicapped man who struggles to bring up a little baby girl.. Since infancy, tried his best to raise her up with tonnes of love... But social services questions his ability to father her...

I love the way Sean Penn acts in this show... very convincing act..
I love the way the little girl is in this show... the amount of maturity she shows as a 7 yr old ger..

Beautiful movie...
PLEASE go and watch it!!

After movies.... it was well after midnight... took a quick drive sending my fren... den i just cruised on the highways home....

WELCOME BACK SUMI!!!!!!

She arrived back fr UK on the 8th August.. we hang out on 8th August.. haha.. Great to have her back as last~~ haha.. *finally i'm not alone with sab* wahaha.. =x we vroom vroom-ed to watch sabby play soccer.... haha.. how weird is that man... we went to "The Cage"... a cool indoor place.. recommended to those who likes playing soccer.. It's near the Kallang area.. It's pretty packed with lotsa people who play soccer.. haha..

After her soccering-solo with her family and frenz... we went to Jln Kayu for late nite supper!! was already 11+pm and i was seriously starving by then cos i didnt had dinner.. with very limited directions to jln kayu... we managed to find our way to the makan place.. and just nice.. a parking lot was available.. *Thank God for that* i just hate it when there's no lots available... Parked my baby and off to MAKAN~~~ i tried the supposedly-famous-jln-kayu-prata... the cheese prata... but it was just ok ok loh.. normal leh.. nothing fantastic.. *I still prefer the woodlands cheese prata..* Had a long... nonsense time chattin.. hee.. with my prata and teh-ping with susu.. HAHAHHA... and my 2 best buds... and i was luffing my heart out.. as usual... hehe.. i love spendin time with them period... so... we immediately set another day for movies~~ and we watched.. .. .. ..

SECRET... by Jay Chou....

Just imagine... one chinese.. one malay.. one indian... watching a chinese show... How multi-racial can we get??? LOL... we are only missing the "others".. hehe.. Yes... we watched a Jay Chou movie... wasnt expecting much fr his show... but i heard good reviews abt it.. so.. why not huh... The show was ROMANTIC lah... i fell in love with piano-playing jay.... *gushes abt his wonderful piano talent* A lovely little twist towards the end... with a nice ending.... It's like the movie ended perfectly.. with a seal of kiss... hehe.. I love musically-inclinded guys.. *think WANG LI HOM*..... Awww~~~~

It sort of fired up my own pathetic piano-playing urge.. hehe... how i wish i can play as well as he does~ hehe.. so... i finally did play on my dusty-ancient piano... hehe.. it's just fun playing the piano lah... i could never play fantastically... but no regrets learnin it ever.. ^^

On National Day... i watched Rush Hour 3... with my mom and bro.. courtesy of my dad... hehe.. It's an ok ok show... not fantastic.. It's kinda boring cliche kungfu stuff... a little humour injected here and there but it just doesnt hit the spot for me... Dun recommend this to any... but my other frenz enjoyed it...hmm.. mixed reviews... to watch or not to watch.. your call~~ We headed for a little shoppin in orchard after the movies... den went back home to watch the NDP... it's kinda disappointing... So i watched for 30 mins... and played my PSP there after...

Anyway.... i super buay tahan at the dirtiness of my xiao zi.... so i went to wash my car when i'm in my bro's hse... SengKang... yes... wash my car ALL THE WAY AT SENGKANG... LOL.. i never tried using the water dispenser at the MSCP before... so finally i tried..

Stupid dispenser.... the water was gushing out like mad lah!! the water was just splashing all over my clothes... there was enuff water to fill 2 pails and i only have one.... so basically i was runnin around my car like a mad woman.. LOL.. i was trying to rinse my car with the water... den run back to the tap for more water... trying to get my money's worth of water..

TAT STUPID TAP... cannt b off... so i was wasting lotsa water as well... *WASTE MY MONEY* Grrr....

waste 60 cents of water... haha.. but still i managed to wash my car.. CLEAN CLEAN~ ^^ with lotsa sweat.... and my entire face red... haha.. i look like i just took a bath... Managed to rest well at my bro's home... and played with sleepy Juston... who kept sleepin though we kept disturbing him.. :P

DEN... DEN!!!! as i was driving home from sengkang.. it had to rain.. RAIN!! RAIN!!! ARGH~~~ Effort down the drain...

At least i waxed my bao-bei bonnet... haha.. a little protection from the rain...

My weekend was packed to BRIM~~~~

IT WAS FUN and EXCITING and.... tiring.... still in dire need of SLEEP....

Friday nite!!! YOUTH NITE CYCLING!!!!! Woohoo~~ All nite cycling round island... it's super exciting lah... hee.. havent uploaded the pics... so i blog abt it next tym instead..

Sat morning... after sending all the ladies back home... i vroom-vroomed myself back home.. reached home about 7.30am... totally in a stoning mode.. haha.. took a quick bath.. den drop dead on the bed... laid dead on the bed till 10.30am.. auto-biological-clock work me up..
Just 3 hours of sleep... hehe.. Den i just continued stoning... ate my breakfast... stone.. stone and just stone.... on the couch.. felt sleepy again... haha..

Decided to start dressing up for my afternoon date instead... haha.. a date with Jean and Jason.. with me as the HUGE lightbulb... hahhaa... but I DUN CARE!! *evil laughter*

Our plan was to watch the "Highly-acclaimed" series of Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix.... at Vivo..... and makan and chit chat till our hearts out.... but our plans has a 'MINOR' change towards the end... hehe.. a ECSTATIC CHANGE... for me at least..

I arrived Vivo a tad earlier... and started my SHOPPING FRENZY!!! cos i knew that River Island is having a SALE right now!!!! i heard of the nice cutting of the RI jeans... but... but.... sigh... i didnt managed to find one dat i like.. even after trying on 3 pairs.... crap~ Took a quick walk at MNG... nothing fantastic... den it was time to meet them for the movies already...

Aiya... i havent shopped at Zara... F21... Topshop... YET... =( *pouts BIGTIME*

Anyway... we watched at the Vivo... hmm... the theatre was rather small... Good enuff as the screen was wide... had no problem watching it comfortably though we were sitted at the side-ends of the theatre.. BUT one major problem for me... i dun like the seats!! They are nt comfy at all!! The seats are TOO upright!! for a slouchy-comfy person like me who LOVES to slouch... it just means tat i cannt b sitted in my own comfy position... haha.. Kept adjusting my body to fit the seat... *bleah* Still prefer those that enables me to recline backwards...

Movie review time... *ding ding ding~~~*


Many said that this particular part of the series is nt very nice.. But i felt it was nt bad at all.. The story was quite nice.. nt as much action as the previous one.. but it was ok lah.. Just have to listen carefully to their dialogue and it's b not bad.. hee.. But one *kissing* scene was like redundant... totally boh link leh..

Rating: 3 out of 5 pawprints...

Played tat fun machine all the way home... on the MRT... haha... But upon reaching home... i couldnt find the strength to continue playing... just dumped myself on the bed and doze off.... ZZzzzzzzzzz~~~ *great nite slp indeed*

Spent the entire sunday in church... and i TOTALLY enjoyed it!... ^^ (will blog about this day another time also... hee.. shall nt over load this blog post with too much infor...)

Managed to catch Pirates 3 over last week's public holiday... hee.. At last.. the long await pirates is here! i HAVE to catch it.. since i already got the part 1&2... And my romantic date for ALL 3 PIRATE SHOWS... is the infamous sabby.. I caught part 1 &2 with sabby and sumi~ Pity that you *sumi* cant join us for the third one... =/ Anyway you are going to come back soon!! so mayb we can rent the DVD and just bunk in somewhere and watch together~ ^^ cool??

Heard many reviews from others saying it wasnt fantastic... BUT i enjoyed it throughly!! It sort of nicely wraps things up.. and my fave character of the day would OF COURSE be.. Johnny Depp~~ This movie without him would be nothing.. haha.. i just love his witty comebacks.. funny funny.. hehe~ He just has this quirky-ness in him... Much like in his others shows like "Willy and the chocolate factory"... " Edward scissorhands"... haha.. i think it's his penchant for choosing such "interesting" characters to act in.. hee~ COOL~

Exams came and gone... Weekend came and gone... My new module just came... argh~~~~ haha.. finally.. my stressful exam has passed... It's a big toughie... it's sort of like "i think i can do it" but just dunno if "my answers are even correct" kinda feeling... I was so expecting to at least do well for this FIRST exam... I'm totally SICK of having NO LIFE wadsoever... i'm sick of going to work then to school then back home.. i'm sick of no going out with frenz.. i'm sick of not watching any movie for so long.. i'm sick of being too 'guai'...

so.. i initialled Project Girls' night out...

and boy did i have fun! hehe.. Well, that's one of the advantages of driving huh.. you nvr have to worry abt transport... last MRT gone... disappearing taxis.. mid-night surcharges... haha..

We started the night... with me driving to The Cathy... and surprisingly.. we arrived there pretty early... *more like expected myself to drive and be lost.. hee.. * so whilst waitin for time to pass till our mid-night movie.. 11.45pm.. we just sipped our ice blended coffee at starbucks.. talking crap...

we headed up to the 6th floor for our movie... *at last i have a life... watching movie... phew* we caught the "Freedom Writers" it's an AWESOME show... MUST WATCH!! This show is quite focused on the racial discrimination *which i so hate* in the community.. how each different race see the other race as enemy... They must learn nt to overstep their boundary else they will risk getting killed.. Lotsa touching moments.. *where i.. the crybaby.. shed tears...* i love the way hillary bonds the class.. the amount of passion she shows.. the devotion she has for the class.. raising money to get books for the students.. even using different methods to show how each and every student as so similar in different ways...

Verdict?? Must watch!! hee..

The show is a full 2hrs... after movie.. it was SUPPER TIME~ We settled for the 24hr kopi-tiam near sabby's place.. and we ate CHEESE PRATA!! Gosh.. i'm like SO SO addicted to cheese prata... cos it taste so YUMMY!!!! They used the right kind of cheese.. just the right amount of cheese.. fried to PERFECTION... i like my prata to be hot and crisp.. CHEESE.. CHEESE.. CHEESE.. you can nvr go wrong with tat... hehe... We supper-ed and chatted till abt 3+... was getting groggy.. so we ended out Girls' Nite Out... gave her a quick ride home... den i headed home too...

Got a tad lost.. cos i'm pretty tired by den... *Full day at work... Cell gp... Movie... supper...* haha.. Did a little circling around woodlands.. finally managed to find my way back... Few cars on the road at the hour.. so it was a smooth and cooling ride back...

Lovely Lovely Day..

We must do it more often okie??? ^^

*I just love hanging out with my best friends... cos we just enjoy each other's companion...*

p.s reached home abt 4am... of course.. my mom started nagging the next day.. wad's new huh..
