Jappy Food~

YUM!
Took couple of days off just to supervise my little one. My family decided to dine out since all of us at home. FINALLY, i ordered my cha soba and ATE IT.. Gosh.. i have been craving for it for the LONGEST time. Didn't order my other craving of sashimi cos' i was rather full. hee~
I just love our little family outings~

Indy Jones...
Caught this with my family.... Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.I vaguely remember the few past movies of Indiana Jones.. the all-so-familiar Indy Jones tune which goes with him, his fedora-lookalike hat, his whip... I recall this series to be an adventure show, but not THAT out-of-your-mind. seriously what's with the ending?
[Spoiler alert!!]
ALIENS??? Space-craft??? Entering the space between the space? So is this a steven-spielberg-cum-all-his-other-movies-inspired sort of show? (think: E.T. , War of the worlds) and what's with the swinging monkey-thingy that happened? Tarzan wannabe as well? hahaha~
Many illogical happenings in this show but all in all, except the weird direction this movie has taken to, it's a pretty entertaining show. A full 2-hours movie with no dull moments and we luffed a lot during this show. hee~ Glad that my parents found it entertaining as well. :)
It's worth a watch, if you can excuse the lame plot.

cny with a different feel
Blessed Chinese New Year Peeps!!
This CNY is kinda weird special for it. I just developed a new perspective to it.
It just wasn't the hype of receiving an angpao from elders.. Not the same excitement dat i had when i was a kid. It's the moments we spend together as a family. How often do we spend the ENTIRE day together, literally physically being together as one. I treasure these precious moments. I know this sounds kinda cliche... but that's just me.. ^^ Now that i'm the "officially" chauffeur of the family, kinda brings a different feel to me as well. No longer am i sleeping at the back of the car, no longer am i just spacing out, out of the car window. I'm actively involved in reading maps and road signs.. *crap tat my bro has a gps sys on his car.. *no fair* but i managed to beat him in finding all my relatives' hse... haha.. WSR!!*
This is the FIRST year i ever worn red for CNY! haha.. For the record, i wore red all 4 days! My fave outfit has to be the F21 Burgundy sweater dress i wore with black stockings and heels.. hee.. was just scrambling to get clothes before the new year. *another excuse for shopping! teehee~*
This year's kinda happening for me.. haha.. i'm running all over for the 4 days. 4 days devoted to family.. 3 nights just for friends.. (was sick and overslept one night for my frenz' hse invitation.. *sorry!* )
Our family had a new addition... joining us for visitin this year onwards.. My kawaii nephew..
He looks so CHEENA!!! GOSH!~~ buay tahan.. His parents decided that cheena is the way to go this feastive season. and he looks adorable in it anyway.. The cheena hat even has a pigtail!"Manchurian!!" -- my grand-uncle calls him.. hee~
Just a "cute" sign i saw at my granny's place... haha.. *Indecent exposure* hmm.... .... LOLz~

This little getaway was somewad impromptu. i needed a break. this seems like a perfect spot that i could find. Decided to whisk my parents off to this little trip with me.
so off we went~
I booked us a place at Mayang Sari, a little resort place off the coast of Bintan. The resort of rustic beachfront chalets... "The ambience is delightfully soothing, set against a calm and picturesque bay of crystal clear waters and silky sand beach. A tranquil haven for for those seeking refuge from the city". That is so ME!!!
Upon reaching the resort, the view that greeted me was awesome... awesome is such an understatement for it... I just could not wait to jump into the waters... Swing in the hammock.. Lie on the beach and let the waves splash on me... hee.. i'm such a little girl, but wad the heck, i wanna enjoy myself!
We checked into a simple chalet hut, Bonefish 3. Simple place with a nice little verandah for us to laze and enjoy the view of the beach...
The most enjoyable and anticipated moments occurs on the beach. I was left playing and relaxing in the waters, all by myself.. My parents decided to "be dry" instead... hahaha~ The beach is just incomparable to the "Eeewww"-local beach we have. The sand is all so so fine... The sea is clean.. the water is super clear... the sand coast is endless!~~~ I managed to walk pretty far off the coast and the sea-level is still below my waist!!

Bday dine dine.....
Weekend!! Saturday's here and i have school!! YIPEE~~~ *sacrastically*
The schedule for this particular module is just.... cmi.... i'm, once again, drowning in my sch... Every week, my classes are either on mon, tues, thurs, fri... OR mon, weds, fri... and i just had my mid-terms last friday..... *WHY GOT MIDS ONE????* this is the only module with mids and as long as there's an exam somewhere... i'll start stressin up again...
Once again.. have to thank God for sustainin me... another 4 more weeks till my final exams...
*Bleah!~*
Well, we had a tiny bday dinner thingy last night for my mommy.... her bday's coming!~
Here's dinner last night..... SEAFOOD!!!! yummy!~
My bro intro us to a nice nice seafood restaurant at an ulu ulu place.. some dark alley restaurant at defu lane....
Here's the steam fish and yam ring thingy...
I literally swallowed my food cos was STARVING.....
Here's the SPECIAL crab in superior broth with dong fen, which my bro claims is the restaurant was pretty unique from....
True enuff, the broth was delicious... and i like the dongfen which went with it...
Sort of plain-yet-yummy kinda food..
Up next.... another famous crab dish... SPECIAL... claimed by my brother again... and YES it's reallie yummy!!!!
It's butter crab... and it's SUPER CREAMY AND RICH~~~~
Dipping the fried bun into this sauce is......... *Hmmmmm.......~~~*
Dishes all laid together..... Crabs just served....
fish is cleared.... yam ring is cleared... hehe...
