A long... overdued post... haha... shld have posted sometime last week about it.. but i wanna to show pictures!! haha... havent had time to upload my photos...

Firstly... Jiawen's Wedding was on last sat~

CONGRATS BABE~~

It was held in the Grand Copthrone Waterfront Hotel... nice ambience.. Her march-in was really cute also.. as Lisa and Elis.. the adorable twins... did a little swirling dance.. before the bride entered.. haha.. Her hubby looks kinda korean.. haha.. charming eyes... hee... Was sitted with Esther, Elvin, Esther, Jeremy, Joanne, BK, Yvonne and Callista... haha.. i know most of them.. so having them together in a table was nt bad... hee~ Lotsa crappy jokes...

Did a collage of pics.. as i didnt wanna tk up too much space.. There's the table of peeps with the bride and groom... Most peeps left by the time the photographer gt to our table.. (Oh.. well.. we aint vip.. so... haha... watever~) There's Esther and Me.. She looks reallie lovely (me too right? =X)... then there's the 2 teddies!! It's their door gift... i only have the bride one.. T.T i wan BOTH!! *sob sob...* haha... i 'cope' the groom teddy to take this pic... looks sweet doesnt it... nvm.. my parents have a pair also.. haha.. I wanna have this kinda of door-gift at my wedding also.. so KAWAII and romantic.. i think.. ^^

Last Sunday.. i went to Vivocity with my fren... haha.. The super new shopping mall... We tried to walk the entire complex... haha... but erm.. did we succeed? i think so lah.. haha.. cos lotsa stores aint open as well.. so.. we walked and walked and walked... argh... leg so suan... tummy growling.. lol.. Went to the much anticipated "sky-garden" but it was kinda dissappointing... the greenary aint green and lush.. the wade pool's all murky and disgusting... the haze didnt make it much better either... hmm.. am i expecting too much? haha.. The crowd was kinda ok... and i went into GAP!! Yes!! at last they have an outlet in singapore... but but... the stuff aint that nice... and it's like so much more expensive then the online shop... so.. it's back to online shopping i guess.. ^^ Wanted to watch a movie there... but the cinema was kinda packed... Wanted to grab a bite... but it was super duper crowded... haha..

We ended up going to suntec for a meal... My fren recommended Muthu's curry.. so... OKAY~ i'm fine with any stuff there... then then... when we got there... it was CLOSED!! bummer.. haha... it only opens at a later time.. anyway.. we managed to stay there for dinner... Ta-da~

I think we kinda ordered too much food.. anyway... we managed to clear all the food in the end.. haha.. (i just helped a little.. =P) Erm... the food wasnt fantastic IMO... but the place there was quite nice.. the ambience there...

And.. guess wad.. i went Vivocity AGAIN today!! My bro brought us all there... go jalan jalan.. BUT it was such a wrong day to go.. the crowd was SO MUCH WORSE then last week!! it was so so packed!! had trouble walking... Grr... There wasnt space to park our car either... The queue ending into the carpark was never-ending.. So we.. smarties... parked over at harbourfront centre.. and just walked over.. Did more of window-shopping.. then we had jappy food!! Took some nice foody pics.. but kinda lazy to upload now.. haha.. next time ya? heehee~

Here's the MAJOLICA MAJORICA LASH ENAMEL that i have so been looking for.. Only available in JAPAN!! And here's my RAINBOW necklace as well.. hee~ See the packaging of the mascara? It has a gold emblem thingy... Ahhh... i just love pretty packaging!! heeehee~ So totally worth the $$$...

Cant wait to receive the rest of my loots... heehee~ ^^

Will God Let Me Fail? That's a question i often ask myself, when things don't go my way, when things turn out to be different from what i expected, when i feel upset about certain stuff tat's happening, when i feel that God has failed me...

Picked up another great book from the library.. (me nerdy mah.. go library borrow books de...) There's this story adapted from there.. which makes lotsa sense to me... here it goes [a summary of it]:

Arizona in july. An air temperature of 105 degrees fahrenheit (~40 degree celcius) There was an article in the local newspaper abt a woman who, overcomed by the heat, passed out on the street and woke up seconds later, but not before receiving third degree burns to her face... It's dryyyyy heat... Maggie, my dog and i were out for an ill-advised walk in the middle of the day.. We both needed a break outside.. with a hope that the sun would rejuvenate my mind and sap her energy..

Maggie would often take me to play ball, chase the occasional cat in the empty lot at the end of the street. Pouncing after the first toss of the ball that afteroon, she suddenly stopped cold in her tracks, ears at attention, right paw ever so gently rising from the ground. Pounce! 5 or 6 birds erupted from behind the tall grass. 1 of them stayed low and Maggie barked with glee and joined in hot pursuit.

Flying down the street, they serpentined back and forth so fast and far that i quickly lost sight. I was prayin, yelling and running as the three of us headed straight for a busy five lane road, bird fleeing for its life, Maggie so focused on her desire she was oblivious to my instruction. Feelin quickly exhausted in the stifling heat, my heart leapt when i saw her finally move towards me, and then screeched to a halt when i realised that she could hardly walk.

Even though she stopped before running to her death in the busy street, her disobedience had left its mark. The heat of the pavement ripped every pad off all four feet and now that the object of her desire was gone, she realized her pain. Maggie is normally totally obedient but this time she was so focused she didnt hear me. Sure, i could have kept her on the leash, but in my mind her past obedience gave her certain freedom. Her choice to not listen and obey this time, robbed me of the opportunity to protect. She walked with little protective "footies" and a pronounced limp for many days and went a bit nuts not being able to play ball for to weeks, but she soon healed and life got back to normal -- with the exception that she listened even more carefully than before.

I was inspired by how much i was like my dog. God gives us all free will. We operate off leash, so we can up and run off if we choose. However, we are expected to follow voice commands-- the voice of our Master-- if we are to stay safe and get the most out of life. Temporary enticements can distract us from the safety of God. The good news is that He will ceaselessly call after us and, when we turn, He will bind up our wounds, give us rest, and help us to health and greater wisdom. The beautiful thing is that even after our disobedience He invites us on another walk--off leash again.

Bottom line:
God does not desire you to experience pain or failure, but He can use your bad choices and the bad choices of others leading to the hurtful state of the world, to accomplish what he truly desires. God wants you to know Him as your Lord and your God. That means He wants you to know peace and joy in the confidence of His power and love despite what the world throws at you. When you ignore his instruction, you will ultimately fail in fulfilling your purpose and it will hurt. He will call after you and He might make your path more difficult so that you will turn around, but He wont force you to love Him. God wants your obedience to come from love and recognition of who He is. You are walking off leash. Choose to heel to the voice of the Master and you will walk in freedom and joy. Choose disobedience and you'll get burned...

Does this make sense to you? It defintely did to me.. Many times i have been disobedient.. Many times i have chose to do the wrong thing.. despite knowing it's wrong.. Many times many things have happened in my life and i wonder... why me... But i know for sure that if i turn back... He will bind up our wounds, give us rest, and help us to health and greater wisdom... The beauty of the great God.. ^^

Have rec'd my mascaras already!! hee... i officially have like 5 UNopened mascaras in my cosmetic box... the ZA cutie curl (bought locally) , Koji Springheart (bought locally), MaxFactor(bought fr US), Rimmel Flash (bought fr US) and MAJOLICA LASH ENAMEL!! (bought fr JAPAN!)... haha.. i just cannt resist mascaras... things to make my eyes pretty!! ^^

I cant wait to start using them...

Days back.. just received a HUGE BIG BOX... it was peeking from my room.. My *sneaky* mom didnt inform me that my bags had arrived from Taiwan.. so blur blur me... didnt see it though i walked in and out of my room for a couple of times... *i didnt watch on the lights mah* =P

Only after taking my bath.. that i went into my room and turned on the light... haha.. my mom must have be smirking when she heard me squealing with delight when i saw the HUGE BOX!! lolz~ This time, it came in a big box instead of some brown packaging cos i ordered 11 bags all in all.. The box was kinda man-handled on the airplane.. cos it was like reallie dented and stuff.. luckily the bags didnt get lost or anything.. WAIT!! Before you think that all the bags are for me~~ THEY ARE NOT!! haha... I just bought another 3 bags~ 2 pour moi (for me), 1 pour ma mama (for my mama)~ 3 bags only.. .. ..

Whilst opening my package in the living room.. was emphasizing to her that.. NOT ALL THE BAGS ARE MINE... if not she will surely nag.. hee~ was going like"this one's for xia... these all for sabby... these 2 for me... erm... i bought for you one also leh.. for your birthday..."

Could see that she's rather excited lah.. haha.. i always ask my mom to choose online.. she always say "cannt see lah!" haha.. kinda a blind bat without her lao-hua specs.. BUT everytime when i show her the stuff i got online.. she always say.. i also can use hor!! ^^... i'll be like -.-"' ask you to choose dun wan.. then always want to use my stuff...

haha.. anyway... my mom sometimes also like a kid.. was asking her.. "You want your bday present now not?" She say DUN WAN... wait till on that day then give.. haha.. childish.. but nvm.. i'm sure the suspense will kill her... I'm also pretty smart.. made sure that she havent gonna a glimpse of it yet.. haha.. her bday's 2 weeks for now.. on the 25th Oct.. will give to her then lah..

CONGRATS ESTHER!!
hee~ my da-jie aka mentor got married today!!

However.. i had to work today as well.. kinda sucky cos i wasnt supposed to.. until there was a change in the schedule.. and also was 'tortured' last night by SOME people.. so i didnt get my beauty sleep until 3 am!!! -.- Had to wake up early today.. get ready for work.. and also pack up all my clothes, shoes to change and also.. most importantly... MAKEUP!! haha.. if nt reallie look like panda liao.. The wonders of makeup.. heehee~

Came to work... and starting putting on my m/u.. hee.. here's how i look like after my personal makeover... =P nice not? haha..

here are my killer shoes.. which caused me lotsa blisters when i first wore it.. haha... had tonnes of plaster pasted on my feet.. preventive measures.. hee~ Nice to look at.. PAINFUL to wear.. haha.. "ai mei de dai jia".. The price to pay to look pretty..








Also.. nice DIY manicure.. and blind-ing bling bling on my finger..

Hee.. guess one of the reasons i like going to wedding is cause i LOVE to dress up for the occasion.. lol.. a once-in-a-while-thingy to make myself look pretty^^
