Mee Siam refers to "Siamese noodle" is a dish of thin rice noodles (vermicelli) in spicy sour sweet soup popular in Singapore.
Originally a Thai dish, it became a Nyonya specialty that is now prepared by Indians, Malays as well as Chinese stalls in Singapore with slight variation in ingredients. It is served with salted soy beans, dried bean curd, boiled egg, and tamarind, garnished with spring onions and Chinese chives.

Sch term has started in beginning of august.. and my lab sessions have officially started this week.. First week of pract.. and i'm already overwhelmed by the preparations of lab sessions.. This week, i already have 3 pract sessions lined up.. back to back.. each lab expt requires different stuff.. so i had to work 'hard' this few days.. even did OT.. lol.. i cant believe i did OT.. 3 hrs~

Wasnt in a pleasent mood =( this week also.. kinda lethargic.. Had to run to Jurong Point couple of times during lunch time to buy some stuff.. RUSH RUSH RUSH... order flowers.. YES! FLOWERS~ not for myself lah.. hee.. for the practs.. gotten some pretty roses and lilies.. (boy are they ex!) other plants that can be found ard the campus are plucked by us.. thus, went for flower plucking session also.. haha..

Carrying of microscopes... T.T very heavy... v good exercise sia.. together we carried ~50 microscopes in and out of the lab.. hmm.. Also had to prepare some chemicals.. and my chemistry sux! so i was trying to comprehend wad was going on.. my colleague did the calculations for me.. so it helps a lot.. hee~ Thank God for great colleagues.. (u know who you are) who helped me out.. haha.. me.. as usually the blur sotong.. dunno wad to do.. currently, at this moment in time.. a pract's also going on.. just came back to take a breather.. Next week.. i can 'eat snake' once again.. lolz~

Bz woman mah.. wahahaha~ this writer had v bad english grammer.. i cannt help but snap it with my hp cam.. hahahaha~ there was another guy in the lift reading this as well.. and you can see a grin creeping up on his face as well.. lol.. i should send this in to STOMP or something.. haha~ shld be written by the cleaner of my block bah.. BE CREATIVE~ she basically had full-control of my hair.. when she finished cuttin.. i was like.. o.O my fringe looks "toot-toot".. u know.. like gong-gong~ haha.. but the more i look at it.. the more i liked it~ Loving my hair-style now~ hee.. however, i'm nt able to tie up my hair.. haha.. nvm lah.. Gotten mixed reviews fr my frenz.. some say "cool", "nice", "jappy", "mature" (?!?), "wild"... haha.. i think more like "funky" hee~

Went to my first car showroom on sunday.. to see see look look at cars.. "CHERVOLET" this is kinda near to my place.. so my ENTHU eldest bro drove me there.. he's the kan chiong one that insist on bringing me to look-see.. been setting my eyes on hatchbacks.. cause i find them cuter than sedans.. Saw the new spark.. 1L car.. kinda tiny.. hee.. Aveo HB quite nice also.. but dun fancy the interior..

We ended the day with dinner at LONG BEACH restaurant.. (guess wad?) my treat of course.. my bro has been tryin to squeeze a treat out of me.. haha.. since he's here.. so why not lah.. had normal seafood stuff.. chilli crabs (with buns.. yummy..) , steamed penang-style fish, veggies, soya sauce chicken.. the food quite ok.. spend abt 150 bucks on a treat for 4? haha.. my second bro.. didnt make it.. he gt sch-work to do.. so we just ta-bao something for him.. hee~ My weekend.. burnt~ haha~ burnt happily lah~

Was reading this great book "God is closer than you think" by John Ortberg. Good book to read.. get it and be engrossed in it.. as i did.. Adapted some passages i thought worthy to share to you guys.. Food for thought..

YAHOO~~ I've passed my driving test on my second attempt..
lol... history made on the 14th Aug 2006... So excited that i passed this time.. Was quite an eventful morning.. My Tp's at 9.15am at Ubi driving centre.. i met my instructor at clementi and drove all the way there.. hee.. He arrived a little late... and was so afraid that we cannt make it for the test.. SO on the way there.. i basically sped there.. hehe.. SPED safely hor..
Even on the way there my instructor was like asking 来得及吗？(will we make it in time?) and strangly enuff.. i was the calm that said.. "Uncle.. Dont worry.. can make it one..." heehee..~ And he asked nt once.. nt twice.. but 3 times!!

We managed to reach there on time!! yeah~ hee.. reached slightly b4 9am.. i was having butterflies in my tummy by then... weird... When i went for my TP the v first time.. i was NT nervous at all! but this time.. dunno y.. like nt confident le.. so gan chiong..

Heng.. heng.. my TP seems to be the lenient kind.. nt those that try to act fierce one.. my circuit.. minus 2 pts? the rest deduct while i was on the road.. Wasnt v confident when i followed the instructor to the office.. he just sat down... wrote some stuff on the paper.. THEN he flipped to the back page of the paper... wrote down "14" and ticked the "passed".... WAHAHAHA~~~ i tell you... i will luffing to myself... ALOUD.... like a siao ger... hee.. SO EXCITED!! cannt suppress my excitment.. hee.. grinning fr ear to ear.. He gave me a weird look.. =P Then he just gave some instruction as to watchin the vid and making my licence... SUPER HAPPY SIA~~ =D After that.. i mass-sms all my close frens.. to inform them.. hee~

After tat.. i headed out with my mom... to celebrate? haha.. nt really lah... actually to go shopping de.. BUT WRONG decision... i was like super tired... the excitement.. totally drained off all my energy.. lol.. on our bus ride back.. lotsa nice rides on the road.. we were like.. "This car nice sia..." "Buy this car leh" quite funni lah..

Reached home for a while.. then headed out for dinner at CAUSEWAY PT again~ sian... haha.. been there like 3 times these past wk le... nt choice.. the other 2 besties live ard there mah.. Sumi's leaving of UK tonight again.. T.T sad sad... wont b back for a year.. Her flight's at 2am.. too late for us to send le.. next day still must work.. zzz.. Handed them their bags fr the TW auction also!!

After which i went to have dinner with some of my frenz at the sakae.. hee.. free meal somemore.. good deal.. =X *cheapskate me* ai ya... driving v ex hor!! 1 session like that.. already burn 90 bucks fr my pocket liao.. T.T *sigh* hope to pass this time bah.. if fail hor.. i wanna cry and waste more money liao...

Went for a movie yesterday!! an impromtu meeting with my besties.. hee~ guess wad we watched... LAKEHOUSE!! i love THE lakehouse.. v nice sia.. like a glass house on silts.. Keanu looks kinda old and haggard in this show.. hmm... losing his charm? Maybe cos i'm used to seein him in cool cool movies like matrix and speed.. But he's still handsome.. heehee.. Even Sandra bullock looks kinda old~ But i LOVE her new look!! with short hair.. i wanna cut till something like dat also!! hee.. the doggie is v CUTE ALSO!! It's a nice.. ok-ok.. show.. nt v fantastic.. mayb becos i've watched the korea version of it.. Il mare.. The korea one is like so much nicer leh.. more romantic and poignent.. this cover of it is only so-so only..

I cannt seems to get an assurance from Him.. my words seems to just bounce off the wall.. Was just in the dumps the past week.. was just about to give up with everything in life and just indulge in self-pity for myself... like hold my very own pity party...

HOWEVER.. Things took a 180 degree change when i went for the FOP!!! FESTIVAL OF PRAISE!!! YAHOO~~~

Didnt wanna go the FOP initially.. cos.. morning go church.. afternoon driving.. damn shagged.. But decided to go since my family was going as well.. and BOY AM I GLAD THAT I DID!! was reallie minister to in the praise and worship..

She: "Oh... i got the wrong one..." (Luffs to herself) hung up....

(yes... ask a newbie to do al these stuff.. v v good... ...) there's some screw-up somewhere... wrong labs booked, clashes, double-booking... everything's in a mess!! Had to keep sendin 'FORMAL' emails to the different lecturers.. haha... well.. so far.. most have been settled already... just have to make more calls and emails..... Grr... i hate all these 'politcally-correct' stuff... even my emails have to sound politically correct... damn sick of it.. well... whatever.. screw them..
