Hi-tea buffet @ Carousel

We went there on a weekday-afternoon But there was a crowd still (which we realised that a school is having their staff outing there)!!

Luckily we managed to get a seat..

We settled for hi-tea, cause it's CHEAPER and it fits our timing.
After watching "Body of lies", excellent movie.. (more of it in another movie post...)

Anyway, here's our array of goodies...

Sashimi was FANTABULOUS!!! I took quite alot.. Like 10 slices to enjoy.. hehe
Laksa was nice! Thick gravy with lotsa coconut in it. Lemak SHIOK!~ (had 2 bowls. =p)
Rojak was *bleah*.. Sabby refusing to use the rojak bowl to stir the sugar, peanut and stuff.. so we had WEIRD rojak..
Muah chee is VERY NICE!!!! We added extra peanuts..
Kebabs yummy~

I was already stuffed at this point... like eat so little though.. =/
So desserts.. i just ate a bit..


I MUST have ice-cream with sprinkles!! hehe~ Sooth my throat. nice nice..
Chocolate, strawberry and vanilla.. Neapolitan!
Pudding - pretty gross, all the insides flowing out.
Scone - too hard, not nice
Chocolate fondue.. NICE!!! haha.. the fountain is pretty~


Company was great once again...

This is considered our last meeting before my bestie flies off to work in US, Washington. :( And this silly ger only told us like 2 wks before she's flyin off. I swear me and sab wanted to kill her. Doesnt leave us much time to plan stuff with her. Everything was in such a rush.

We sent her off from T3 on the 29th Nov.. Her insanely EARLY flight is at 7am!! *&@^#&* so we met up at 4.30am, her place. And cabbed down together. Even at such a dead-early-time, the queue to checking-in was LONG!!! gosh.. We had coffee bean's brekkie together~ Said our short good-byes and off she went... her 14-hour flight... So long! (Nt including transit) No joke man..

We made plans to visit her at US next year! Yipee!! Free lodging.. muahahaha~
But... how am i supposed to survive my 14hr flight with SAB!!

Food's pretty unique.
Omelette was GREAT.. Anything with cheese is GREAT to me..
Kebab was HARD.. (not recommended)
Hannas is flour with chick-peas. (Unique taste)
The gravy stuff is nice, especially with the bread dipped in.

Company was excellent.
This was a post-birthday celebration for Sumi..
Glad that she liked the gift we got her..
Something useful for her to bring to US..

Definitely a kiddy place. Their plates and bowls are all made of plastic. -.- Many kids were there when we went.

Verdict: Surprisingly the food tastes GOOD! I like the dough of the pizza. It has like spinach-infused in it. Yummy~ The macaroni & cheese looks so-so only BUT the cheese is just perfect. Love the cheese... IF you have kids, bring them there!

I have to talk abt the decor in this tcc. It's seems whimsical! Ratten chairs at the outside, gives a rather english-tea feel. Soft cushiony seats for the inside. We wanted to go into this shop because of the DECOR! ha~

My asaki tea..
Green tea with some dunno-wad. Tastes weird actually *bleah* i rather drink normal jap green tea.

Sab's Peppermint Latte something.. *cannt remember*
Our DESSERTS!~
The strawberry thingy tastes AWESOME!! Layers of spongecake and strawberry pudding-stuff. Yummy!~ The dark-devotion, chocolate cake with melted choc inside, didn't taste THAT nice.


Verdict: Nice place to just hang out and have tea. Citibank cardholders.. 15% off!!

If you love pasta, or nice food, you MUST try this!!!!!

Location: The Pasta Shop by sakae @ tiong bahru plaza (beside donut factory)

The shop is enclosed by glass, thus a very open feel, which i love. Tiong bahru plaza is not really well-ventured, thus the ppl flow is quite little. Nice and peaceful place to dine. The pasta here is more japanese inspired. And the pasta is just "Mmm~~~~~~" That's all we could came up with after tasting it ALL.


My order!! Sliced pork with cream soup.
I TELL YOU!!! the cream soup is Mmmmmm................ SUPER NICE CAN????

Here's May's oysters with bacon + wobbly egg. I wanted to choose this too! OYSTER! yummy~ Tried the cream of this pasta. VERY strong taste of oyster... :D
Ginny's Ebi + Spinach pasta in tomato sauce. Super fresh prawns.. Spinach is hidden under the pile, thus you can't see it here..
CX's salmon + yummy mayo on dried pasta. The mayo is super nice also! Nice blend~
I'm drooling now as i'm typing.... .... MAN! we must go back there AGAIN!!!!!

And also their dessert!
Mine's the green tea tiramusi.. (nothing special.)
Middle one is green tea ice cream on red bean pudding.. The GT ice-cream ROCKS! Has a really strong taste of green tea of a more sticky texture. We suspected it might be a home-made gelare kind.. NICE! And the red bean pudding is sweet and yummy!~ Mix them both up. PERFECT!
To the right is the creme brulee... Strong egg taste with melted sugar on the top. :D


Verdict: WE WANT TO GO BACK THERE AND TRY ALL THE PASTAS THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had lunch the HK cafe with my family... First time eating there and so i ordered the HK seafood baked rice with curry... cause i was STARVING....

GOOD CHOICE!!! if you love lotsa CHEESE *like me!!* it's super duper delicious can???
There's 2 mussels... 2 prawns... a slice of salmon...
Nicely fried yellow rice with raisins...
Added favour of curry on top of the rice...
OVERLOADED with yummy yummy cheese... and they aint stingy with it... ^^

This is much much BETTER than the swensen's baked(and expensive) rice..

My YUMMY-empty-almost-in-record-timing baked rice with a cuppa of yuan yang... ^^

It's actually an ENTIRE arch of the rainbow!!!! i took this at the overhead bridge NIE-NTU... at first.. i only spotted one side of it... as i glanced for a longer moment... i realised.. it's an entire ARCH! hehe... super psyched abt it.. so quickly whipped out my handy-dandy-NEW-wonderful-camera-quality-handphone... hahaha.. and snapped a pic..
